“Where two rivers meet” – (Swing Bridge, VIC)- No wind. no rain…no moon and almost no clouds…. It was a dream scenario for astrophotography.  I was lucky enough to have a clear sky on the very last day of the Milky Way season… Yes, Milky Way does have its own season during the year when it’s not visible for 3-4 months.

When I arrived at this spot, I had only a 10-20 min before the Milky Way Core completely disappeared so I have to be a very quick to think about my settings and composition.  I did it just in time.   It was a beautiful and very inspiring night where two rivers (La Trobe and Thomson) met together at Swing Bridge. Love the night sky and quietness of the surroundings when you can forget for a moment of all the troubles of the day. The brightest star is a planet, Venus. In addition, I was lucky to have a little bit of pink colour of Aurora to show up on the left.
