Iryna’s Biography
Iryna is originally from Ukraine. She grew up with a love of photography. Her father was a professional photographer, who guided her in her photo journey. In Ukraine even though she studied engineering for 3 years at University, her love for photography took over. So instead, she decided to work for a photo company, processing films and printing photos in the Dark Room.
Iryna has taken photos in 28 different countries while traveling with her husband and son. She loves Nature and loves to capture photos of wildlife and beautiful landscapes. But in 2023 she discovered Astrophotography which has become her new passion. She has done several astrophotography workshops and a few on-line courses. Iryna is also an active member of the local Sale Camera Club and bird-watchers group.
Iryna loves learning new skills and is constantly improving them. Her photos were exhibited in Latrobe Regional Gallery in Morwell and Bond Street Event Centre in Sale. She is also a member of Ben Cruachan Bushwalking Club and has done several iconic hard hikes with her camera to Lake Tali Karng (often called the "Hidden Lake,") and the Razorback hike at Mt.Hotham, VIC. We will see more nightscapes photos from her different hikes in the near future too.
Iryna wants to show the beauty of the night sky of Victoria, mainly in the Gippsland area. As she said: “I am just a small tool between the camera and the Beauty of God’s Creation. Our human eyes cannot see all the brilliant colours at night that the camera sees, such as the bright Core of the Milky Way Galaxy or the different colours of a dancing Aurora.” For those of us who can’t go out late at night to spend hours photographing the night sky (especially in the winter months when the Milky Way is most visible) we can enjoy Iryna’s effort to share her “Beauties of Creation” with the rest of us through her artwork.
In February 2026, Iryna started her nature photography business “Beauties of Creation” with the purpose to sell her artwork to help families and friends, who struggle to survive in her homeland in Ukraine. So, if you purchase any of Iryna’s artwork, you are not just getting a beautiful photo on your wall but your money will help children, widows and the elderly in Ukraine. In addition, she said that people are welcome to come and check out most of her nightscape photos at her home gallery before they decide to buy.
